Cabin FAQs

  • Unfortunately the cabin isn’t suitable for weddings or elopements, though of course you can always come and stay for your honeymoon!

We don’t currently have the infrastructure on the farm to host gatherings but this is something we’re working on.

  • The cabin is designed to be a tranquil adults only experience, especially as the creek is a short, steep walk from the cabin. Due to our free roaming cattle, we kindly request you leave pets at home.

  • A five minute drive, despite it feeling like it's in the middle of nowhere (with the views to match).

  • The main farm is on a different road a two minute drive away. The cabin is completely private—your access is via a no through road used by one other friendly neighbour.

As we’re a working farm, we kindly ask that you stay within the bounds of the cabin’s paddock.

If you've booked a portrait session, we'll be in contact to arrange the time and Angie will meet you at the cabin.

  • The Arcadia team is working on a farmgate experience that we're very excited to share soon!

  • The cows are free to come right up to the top or bottom fence line, about 20 metres from the cabin. They have 250 acres to wander, so you may or may not get a visit! Please remember to give lots of space to cows with young calves, and not to feed them human food.

  • Arcadia is intended to be an unplugged experience. There's no wifi but most people find they have adequate reception.

  • You bet! Around the cabin we’ve spotted echidnas, wallabies, goannas, eagles, cockatoos and eastern rosellas, to name a few.

  • It’s super straightforward to get to the cabin. The road is unsealed but completely fine for any kind of car. There’s plenty of parking space directly behind, no hiking required!

  • Yep! The cabin is available to book for commercial purposes here. Please note we have a strict policy around commercial content being created during guest stays, a location fee wil still apply.

Portrait FAQs

  • Right now we’re only offering sessions to guests, and Angie isn’t currently booking weddings or off-farm portrait sessions.

Please contact us if you’re a business and are interested in Angie shooting commercial content for you here, we love supporting other businesses!

  • We want to give our guests who book our sessions exclusive use of our farm. Third party portrait sessions aren’t welcome, sorry. If you have a business or product and would like to use Arcadia for a location shoot, bookings are available here.

  • Most people feel this way beforehand—rest assured the best moments are always the candid ones! It’s all about exploring somewhere beautiful with the person you love. Angie’s approach is low on direction and big on making you feel like you’re comfortable and naturally expressing yourself.

  • Most important is that you feel comfortable to move around and explore during our session. We do suggest lighter colours, which work beautifully against all the greenery here. Floaty dresses with some movement are always great on camera too! Please wear closed in shoes that you’re happy to get wet or muddy. It’s also a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket just in case.

  • Golden hour ensures we have the best lighting of the day and the time at which the farm is most magic! Sessions always take place on the second afternoon of your stay, to ensure you have enough time to prepare.

  • The farm is at its moody best in a drizzle - we can crack on if you’re comfortable with getting a bit damp. If it’s truly pouring, you have the option of either a cosy cabin-based session or a full refund.

  • While we can’t guarantee availability, please email us and we’ll see what we can do!

  • Absolutely, we’re more than happy to accomodate your needs. We have convenient options for those who’d rather stay on dry, flat(ish) ground.

  • Yep, we’ll refund you 50% of your session fee with more than 30 days’ notice before your booking date. Your cabin reservation will remain.
